Woofstock Event
New to Jefferson, Texas this vibrant, multi-faceted, fundraising event will take place on Saturday, May 13 and is designed to enhance community awareness and togetherness in an effort to help control the stray cat/dog population in Marion County.

Kicking it off will be Buddy's Run to the Rescue which will encompass a 5K Fun Run, one mile dog walk, and Kids' Fun Run that weave through the streets of historic Jefferson. A stage set up in the First National Bank parking lot will feature live music in a setting of pet-themed vendors and our local businesses and restaurants. We will also have areas designated for raffles, dog-themed contests, a petting zoo, a kid's "fun" zone, and food trucks.
The Friends of Jefferson Animals will have a booth focusing on the basics of rescue needs (food, fostering, funds), pet safety (this year's safety topic will pay homage to our event Grand Marshal, Buddy, by tackling "fireworks and pets"), available services, and positively impacting our community by promoting "Peace, Love, and Paws."
